Can I Bring My Pets?

We have many different types of animals on the farm including free range ducks, horses, barn cats, and our welcoming committee lab (Bear)- for their safety, and the safety of our other visitors, no dogs/pets are allowed on the property. Certified service dogs are the only exception.

We ask that all guests stay within the pumpkin/mum display and U-pick flower area. Please refrain from approaching the horse pasture as the fence is electrified. Our ducks are free range and may come up to greet you, but please do not chase or feed them as both can cause them injury.

Is there a Photography Policy?

Personal Use Photography is more than welcome and we encourage our visitors to capture the memories that they make on our farm! Guests are asked to stay within the U-pick flower area and the pumpkin/mum display around the barn. We also encourage our visitors to use either the hashtag #WindDoveAcres or to tag our page when sharing their photos as we also love to see the memories that our farm helps others create!

Professional and Commercial Photography MUST be scheduled in advance. Please see our “Photographers” page for more details on scheduling and rates associated with use of the farm for your sessions!

What are our hours?

We are open seasonally late August through the end of October, 7 days a week, 9 am-8 pm. Our opening and closing dates vary year to year depending on the growing season and crop availability. To be kept the most up to date on our opening and closing dates follow our Facebook page!

How Does the U-Pick Flowers Work?

Select, cut, and arrange the flowers you love the way you want them! Our U-Pick patch provides the full floral design experience from choosing your flowers, harvesting, and then creating your own arrangement. Located across the driveway from the barn, you will find an assortment of sunflowers, zinnias, celosia, gomphrena, and many more gorgeous varieties that pair together to make the perfect bouquet! Clippers are available for you to use and can be found in the white mailbox that is located on the table under the barn overhang by the U-Pick sign.

We suggest that you bring a container with water so that your blooms can stay hydrated and fresh on your way home!

Do we have U-Pick Pumpkins?

No, we do not. For the safety of our guests we do not offer U-Pick pumpkins and do not allow for guests to enter the pumpkin fields. We ask that all guests remain within the U-Pick flower area and pumpkin/mum barn display for the duration of their visit.

What Forms of Payment Do We Accept? How Does Our Self Serve Work?

At Wind Dove Acres we operate as a self service business to allow us to be open for more days weekly and for longer hours to meet the flexibility needs of our customers. Our pumpkins, gourds, hay bales, cornstalks, mums, and cut flowers are all organized with pricing signs. Once you have picked out the items that you wish to purchase, there is a drop box along the front corner of the barn where you can place your payment.

We currently accept cash, checks made payable to Wind Dove Acres, and Venmo payments to @WindDoveAcres or by scanning our Venmo QR code.

Do we have restroom facilities?

We do not have public restrooms available on the property.
